Saint-Gervais

Located on the west bank of the Rhône, Saint-Gervais was recognized within the AOC Côtes du Rhône Villages in 1974.

Due to its small size and almost confidential location, Saint-Gervais now has only a few producers but produces vibrant wines that attract winemakers established further afield who wish to experiment with this terroir.

Description

The Côtes du Rhône Villages Saint-Gervais vineyard extend along the Cèze River in the commune of Saint-Gervais, in the Gard.

Nestled in the Cèze Valley, the Saint-Gervais vines are grown on the plains, but also in recent years on higher ground and further north, which has allowed the appellation to move up a gear.

Although known for its red wines, the Côtes du Rhône Villages Saint-Gervais also produce a large proportion of white wines.
